I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. 

My research is in the fields of environmental economics, public economics, and economic history.  I am particularly interested in how environmental conditions influence economic outcomes in the context of American democracy.  

I received my PhD in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
